How To Join ORULE

how-to-join

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Oregon Rail Users’ League (ORULE), we’d love to talk with you! Please contact our Executive Director Lana Butterfield at lana@orule.org for a current application with dues structure and a letter about the benefits of joining ORULE. Thank you for your interest!

ORULE generally has three or four meetings throughout the year.  We meet mostly in Salem (during the legislative sessions) or Wilsonville (during the interims, although we sometimes meet at members’ sites) or conference calls. ORULE publishes regular bulletins by email.

ORULE works within the legislative process.  Our members testify on behalf of ORULE in support of programs like Connect Oregon, additional rail funding, or other subjects.   Many of our members serve on advisory committees, such as the Oregon Freight Advisory Committee.  We track legislative bills relating to transportation and publish the results to members.  We write supportive letters for our members who are seeking grants.   We discuss current regulatory affairs, and have good working relationships with regulators. ORULE is a very active association and we believe strongly in Oregon’s multi-modal transportation system.

We welcome your participation!  Please come join us.
